When shopping around, it’s important to realize that when you compare quotes, you probably won’t be able to do a true apples to apples comparison.
Every web design company differs in their level of experience, design style, skill and talent, types of services offered, and suite of software and tools used.
Two different companies can have two very different creative and technical approaches and timelines to the same problem or goal, and your role in each of those two projects can vary. What’s important is that you choose the best team to fit your specific project needs.
It is always best to let us know from the very start all of the things that you want your site to do so that we can ask the right questions, research all of your available options, and organize the best strategy for your project. Whether you’re ready to start right away or just looking for more information, please complete the form below and we’ll get back to you pronto!
Not Sure Where To Begin?
To get started, we need to know the following 3 items. You can click on each item below to learn more details.
You don’t have to have every specific detail of your website project figured out but just let us know if there’s something that absolutely has to work with your new website so that we can address that request as soon as possible.
Of course it’s okay if you don’t have any specific requirements and all you need is an informational website. Be sure to let us know that too.
NO PROJECT IS TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL. WE JUST WANT TO BE THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOUR PROJECT.
Examples of make or break requirements could include things like transferring all pages, products and blog posts on your current site to the new site, 3rd party integration with a specific Shipping Fulfillment Center, streamlined inventory management with your current brick-and-mortar store, private logged-in members only access to specific website pages, etc.
Whether you have a current website that you need redesigned or you want to build a brand new website, one of the things we need in order to provide you with a quote is a list of all of your pages. Here’s why:
Not every page is created equal. A website could have 20 pages with 200 total images or 200 pages with 20 total images. Knowing how much and what kind of content you have upfront for your new site helps us figure out an approximate timeline with our current scheduling. Since we use WordPress to build our sites, new pages can easily be added by you (the client) after website delivery so even if there are pages you forgot to mention or new pages you want to add later, you can always expand your site after the project is completed.
If you have a current site that you want us to reference, you can just let us know that you want to keep all pages/content or let us know specifically what you want to keep, remove, or update.
About and Contact are common page titles that have pretty standard content and functionality, such as text with a couple of images on the About page or a general contact form and a Google Map on the Contact page. However, when we see page titles like Shop, Login, Sign Up, etc., then that makes us wonder what kind of additional functionality you are looking for that maybe you forgot to mention or didn’t realize would be an important part of the scope of work.
Having a list of pages helps us ask the right questions to make sure that we’re all on the same… you guessed it – page
Another thing we need in order to provide you with a quote is a list of features / functionality that you want on your new site. These are things like: contact forms, slideshows, photo galleries, e-commerce, membership functionality, etc.
This can just be an informal breakdown or bulleted list of things you like / need. Just think generally about what you want the site to do, what you want your website visitors to be able to do, and we can work out the specific details from there.
If you have a current site that does everything you want already, let us know that too so that we are sure to include the same types of functionality in our website quote.
